Dr Matt Huxtable
Director | Chiropractor
Dr Matt has been helping individuals and families with Chiropractic in Perth for many years after graduating with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Chiropractic with distinction from Murdoch University – a 5 year double degree that focuses on the science of the human body and the assessment, investigation, diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal conditions with a specific focus of spinal related disorders. Dr Matt is passionate about the modern practice of Chiropractic, one that adheres to the current relevant evidence, science and biomechanics of the human body. Dr Matt co-founded iThrive West Leederville in 2016, a goal he shared with his wife Hayley to establish a multidisciplinary health and wellness centre to help families and individuals of all ages in the community.
He recalls his most profound experience with Chiropractic being in 2012 as a student entering his final year of clinical practicum where he travelled to India with a team of Chiropractors and fellow Chiropractic students to provide voluntary care to those far less fortunate than themselves. The team would set up in various local community centres and provide Chiropractic and even basic first aid to hundreds of people who have no access to such healthcare of which many would have to wait until the returning annual trip to receive similar care. It was a life changing experience that helped Dr Matt realise the important role Chiropractors can have in a community and in the healthcare field.
