At-School OT Screening Program
iThrive West Leederville offer a specialized at-school screening program that considers a range of factors so that neither the school, child or parent is inconvenienced by the process. The screening is tailored depending on the age of the child. iThrive provides screening for all school year groups.
Our Mission
To perform early, thorough, time efficient and affordable at-school assessment to identify children who may benefit from further specialized educational intervention including but not limited to Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Developmental Optometry and Audiology.
Early Screening and Intervention
We believe strongly in the importance of early screening of children at their schools so that any inhibitive learning traits do not prevent a child reaching their fullest potential in the classroom. Whether it be visual, auditory, behavioural, physical, social or issues with their writing it is known that the earlier these issues are identified the more successful therapy outcomes can be. For this reason, iThrive is committed to attending the schools and conducting organized, simplified and brief screening sessions as early as possible in the child’s schooling life. It is recommended that screening be conducted on children as early as term 1 from kindegarten

iThrive have developed a screening method that is effective in identifying children who may need more therapy. The method was designed with the day-to-day running of the school in mind so that the process isn’t too disruptive to teaching schedules. iThrive endeavours to coordinate effectively with schools and teachers to make this process as seamless as possible.
